Default 4R70W: ???

I'm looking to upgrade my 1990 5.0L's AOD to a 4R70W , and I was just wanting to know what would b nessasary for the conversion and whether r not it'd even b worth it . Thanks

Lots to make a 70 work in a fox.

Stand alone trans computer,and harness,or a manual valve body,and did they even put 4r70s behind car 302s?Or just 4.6 because the bell housing is different between the two.

it would be the same deal as tryn to make a t56 work with a 302... some type of adaptor? i dont recall them making a 4r70w for 302/351... might be wrong

they do its a aode.There basically the same trans.Why are you against running a aod?If you do the correct valve body and a gfood rebuilder they work fine.

I'm just trying to see what other options r out there , I'm still contemplating on whether r not I should stick with the automatic r go with a 5speed conversion . Thanks for the help fellas

Im going to sell my tremec if your wanting to go stick shift.
Has a billet flywheel and d and d clutch b and m shifter with bell housing and all,i want 1300 for it.I will include the cable and firewall adjuster and quadrant.

Yea , I checked it out but those prices are a little out of my league . Think Im just gonna go with the five speed conversion . Thanks tho

If you dont have anything yet theres a guy on craigslist that has the whole conversion. Check it out and see if hes still got it!
